Accommodation Team - Merthyr Tydfil, Wales

Amy Hughes - Team Coordinator

Amy began her career with Royvon in 1999. She brought with her a wealth of education and experience having worked and studied at Pencoed Agricultural College, where she earned a first and National diploma in Animal Care.

Amy's commitment to Royvon has earned her the responsibility of acting Supervisor over the care of the dogs.  She bonds very quickly with our guest dogs, which makes her very effective helping them to settle as quickly as possible. Amy believes that the high standards of Royvon ensure a happy environment in which to work.

Amy: "I love my job because I love dogs so much. My strength at Royvon is my commitment, and my weakness is not wanting the dogs to go home!"

Noel Hellard, Accommodations Manager

Noel is yet another loyal, long-term and hard working Royvon employee having worked at Royvon for almost 25 years. Royvon is lucky to have members of the team, like Noel, who enjoy their job and bring so much of their expertise to the company and trainee dogs.

David Ward - Accommodations/Feeding Supervisor

David was introduced to the business in May 2004 as part of a new development course.  But, it wasn't long before his dedication and commitment to his position led him to be put in charge of the feeding of the dogs. Today, David not only manages this very important task, he has made many advances in how our guest dogs are catered to, including very strict systems to monitor our fussy eaters and dogs with special diets or digestive histories.  No wonder he's a favouite with all our guests!

Sam Brian - Accommodations

Sam works in Accommodations - cleaning, exercising the dogs and feeding them on David's day off.  Sam has always wanted to be a dog handler with goals to work for the police force.  He started his career working in rescue kennels and moved to Royvon, where he plans to build upon his experience.

Sam's favourite dogs are the working breed.  However at home, he has a Golden Retriever named Bobby and Jack Russell puppy named Mick.
